Aged Gouda Pesto Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup Davinci Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 box DaVinci Bowtie Pasta
1/2 cup finely grated A Dutch Masterpiece 12-Month Aged Gouda Cheese
2 cups fresh basil leaves (or substitute with arugula, spinach, or kale)
1 clove garlic
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the DaVinci Bowtie Pasta and cook according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Pesto
In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pulse for about 15 seconds until roughly chopped.
With the food processor running, slowly stream in the olive oil until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. Add the finely grated A Dutch Masterpiece 12-Month Aged Gouda Cheese and pulse until fully incorporated.

Step 3: Combine and Serve
Toss the cooked and drained pasta with the aged Gouda pesto until the pasta is evenly coated. Adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or a squeeze of lemon if desired.

Step 4: Enjoy!
Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with additional grated aged Gouda for extra flavor. Pair with a fresh salad or crusty bread for a complete meal.
