1.  How do you read the codes?

All our products now have easy to read Best Buy dates clearly marked on the package.

2.  Are any eggs used in making the pasta?

No eggs are used in our pasta products, with the exception of our tortellini, ravioletti, and egg noodles.

3.  How many pasta cuts are available in the United States?

Currently, there are 35 different pasta cuts available in the US, including various tri-color cuts and a number of soup cuts.

4.  How long do I cook the pasta?

Cooking times for pasta vary by region and altitude. The higher altitudes require longer cooking times. Other factors in cooking time include the amount of water used, the thickness of the specific pasta cut, and ultimately your preference for pasta firmness.

5.  Do I have to cook whole wheat pasta longer than traditional pasta?

Yes, generally the whole wheat pasta takes 2-3 minutes more cooking time.

6.  Are any DaVinci products produced in the United States?

Yes, while the vast majority of our items come from Italy, a few of our boxed pasta items (e.g., lasagna and jumbo shells) as well as our Organic Pasta Sauce are produced in the US.

7.  Does the Pesto sauce have to be heated before eating?

No, the pesto sauce can be spooned over just cooked pasta as an alternative to traditional sauces.
